Delegate Justin Ross Proposes Treatment on Demand Study Bill!

The following is a clip from the legislation that Delegate Ross sent out to his constituents, in which this was the first item mentioned:

In an effort to preempt criminal activity, I have proposed a bill that would fund a study to determine what it would cost to provide Drug and Alcohol Treatment on Demand for Maryland residents. Maryland, like most states in our nation, suffers from the problems caused by drug and alcohol addiction. Drug and alcohol addiction takes a tremendous toll on our state through overcrowded prisons, the cost of providing assistance to children and families, and the crime associated with the drug trade. Treatment on demand means that anyone who has a drug or alcohol problem can get the treatment that he or she needs to avoid long term health problems or possible future jail time.
